“We have a few of our rock bands set to perform, then also we’ll have a mini-musical theatre with actors and the band putting on a Shakespeare-inspired show. A couple of the music acts at the Street Fair this Sunday will be presented by current iSchool students. Most students attending the iSchool are from Syosset, Woodbury Jericho, Oyster Bay and Plainview. Children attending the Street Fair this Sunday can touch the iSchool’s instruments and hear how they sound, and even take a brief one-on-one lesson by spending a few minutes learning from instructors that will be at the booth.

There will be drums, guitars and a ukulele, plus the air violin, piano and keyboard. Qian advises that the iSchool booth will be in front of the Town of Oyster Bay’s Showmobile, and information will be presented along with a drawing table and an “instrument petting zoo” for kids to try out. The iSchool features music and arts education, both for children over 3 years old (during after-school hours) and for adults of all ages.
